SHOEI Multitec Motorcycle Helmet Review #2
We've used both the 1980s BMW flip-ups and previous Shoei versions. This new one fits SOOOO much 
better than all the previous ones, and has such flexibility for the installation of communications units. Those of us who wear glasses really like this concept for a helmet. A recent fall down showed me it works for great protection.I ride motorcycles for about 25 years. This Shoei helmet is the most comfortable one I ever used, I enjoy silent riding, fresh air very well in control and a snug, fitting. It's a little bit heavy, but that is the price you have to pay for a good protection!.
Great helmet, I had Nolan before and now after this helmet I'm not going back, feel lots more comfortable, lighter, love it.Totally recommend it.

The same shell as the race performer X-11 Shoei which i also own. The X-11 is the best helmet in the world and is the helmet used by the world's top racers but the Multi-Tech is fantastic in that you get the same quality shell as the X-11 but the added feature of the full front lifts up for drinking fluids...taking pictures.....scratching an itch on your nose or whatever else you want to do without taking the helmet off. It is not as quiet as the X-11 (what is?) but it is close!!!!!! I cannot say enough positive things about this helmet so I'll just stop for now. I do have one question...How does someone ride a motorcycle down the road without a helmet or eye protection???Just wondering...I cannot stand if for 100 feet on a back road at 25 miles an hour yet alone at 65 mph on a highway following a truck with a load of stones!!!!! And then there are the BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! YUK.......I don't ride on the road...only back country roads and I am still scared.... BUY A HELMET...SAVE YOUR LIFE...SAVE YOUR EYEBALLS..... SAVE YOUR HEARING...how does one hear after one hour with the wind penetrating your ear canal's at 65 mph!!!!!WOW !!!!???? ooops that is two questions~!!!!!

Ohhh I almost forgot it uses the same shield as the X-11 also...Fantastically easy to take off and put back on....WHEN YOU LIFT THE FULL FACE FRONT FOR A DRINK FROM YOUR CAMELBACK OR TO SCRATCH AN ITCH MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE THAT YOU HAVE DROPPED IT ALL THE WAY BACK DOWN SO IT CLICKS AND IS FULLY INTACT JUST IN CASE YOU WRECK ...YOU WANT THAT FULL FACE PROTECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHOEI Multitec Motorcycle Helmet Review #1
Bought this through Amazon 3 months ago, and am very pleased with its performance. No idea how the flip-up face piece will do in a bad fall (thank you very much), but the improvements over full-face helmets I have owned make it worth the price. Being able to keep my glasses on when donning/removing the helmet and being able to lift the faceplate while stopped in hot Florida traffic are both a plus. The helmet's fit is excellent (Size M, 7 1/8-7 1/4), the operation of the faceplate is easy wearing heavy gloves, and the finish is typical Shoei - superb. The selectable open/closed nose and temple vents work as advertised and, when open, flow enough air over the faceplate to keep it from fogging on cold mornings.
The only negative I can find is noise: the helmet is noiser than my last Arai full-face, and is noticeable enough on long trips hat I've started using earplugs while riding. Regardless, I highly recommend this to someone who's more comfortable with a full-face helmet.

A great product at a great price. I saved approximately $250.00 buy purchasing this helmet through 
Amazon.com as opposed to purchasing it at my local bike dealer. The helmet itself is a really interesting compromise between full face and open face. With the chin gaurd open, it is a lot easier to put on and take off without the need to remove my glasses. I really like it! I have had helmets for many years. This one is superb. An excellent product that shows how great design can improve life. I bought it for safety and function, discovered it was very beautiful (the Harley dealer folks loved the color, looks custom) and quite comfortable as well. Can't see how this thing could possibly be improved! Another excellent experience from buying online.
I have had this helmet about 1 year now. I bought it while living in Germany. I just laid my motorcycle down and this helmet worked perfect. It absorbed the impact and my head has never been better, wish my ribs were the same. I am going to buy another Multitec once I get my bike back up and running. My head is worth the cost!!
